Water Colour Bleeding
Add lots of water to the page first, you don't need to cover the entire page but you can do if you wish. Choose 2 or three similar colours in ink or water colour. Water the colour down and add to paintbrush. Touch brush onto page and watch as the colour bleeds out through the water. Experiment.Dry Brush This time no water on the brush at all. Choose from 2 - 3 colours. Start by brushing off ink/paint onto newspaper removing most of colour. Then drag across page lightly skimming the surface. Newspaper Wash TMix up 50% white glue and 50% water (1:1 ratio). Paint the glue mix onto you page, rip up news paper and paste it back down with the brush. You might want to cover all or just parts. After wards, water down white paint and apply a wash to hide the paper. Depending on how much you want to hide it depends on how thick you paint wash is. Newspaper, Tissue and Dry Wash Apply newspaper as in 'Newspaper Wash' Technique. Wit the same glue solution apply tissue paper being sure to create bump, folds and creases in the surface. Finally apply the 'paint wash' technique and watch at the deepest coloor hides in the cracks.
