pottery
Barbaric Splendour, 2003,
Glazed ceramic, 67 x 35 cm . Perry's forms and content are always incongruous: classic Greecian-like urns bearing friezes of car-wrecks, cell-phones, supermodels, as well as more dark and literary scenes, often incorporate auto-biographical references. |
tapestry
The Adoration of the Cage Fighters, 2012,
In The Vanity of Small Differences Grayson Perry explores his fascination with taste and the visual story it tells of our interior lives in a series of six tapestries. In this series he takes inspiration from British life and people. |
prints
Animal Spirit, 2016, Etching,
161 x 198 cm Inspired by the Financial Crisis of 2008, this bear/bull is a symbol of the 'irrational beast that controls the market'. |
