LO: Identify how a GCSE Art project runs and match different page of others work.
Combine two different styles of working to make a brand new technique or outcome.
Develop ideas by combing the two techniques they’ve explored in the previous assignment. This is up to them about how they do it. We should see direct links back to the artists they have studied. Only 1 page expected here.
Find all the pages of the GCSE projects matching which pages belong to which project.
Pick out the artist research pages. Look at the other pages and talk about how the artists have influenced them
Using a successful image (photo from the trip or artwork you have already made for this project), create a new artwork, experimenting what it will look like when you combine the two artists' techniques.

LO: Develop your ideas and create your own individual path.
Now you'e had a go at copying your artists, try applying that technique to something new. Think about your theme and perhaps use a photo you have taken or an observational drawing .
Students, you have much more freedom, where do you want to take the project next? What ideas have you have so far? This will be different for every student. You might continue doing the same thing as the previous assignment, or try the same but with different media or a different image. You might try the same techniques but a different order of application. They might want to make links to another artist. 1 more page expected here.

What is Etching and how do you do it.
We're actually going to use a type of Etching called Drypoint.
Drypoint is a printmaking technique of the intaglio family, in which an image is incised into a plate (or "matrix") with a hard-pointed "needle" of sharp metal or diamond point. Traditionally the plate was copper, but now acetate, zinc, or plexiglas are also commonly used. We're going to use Plexiglas
